Meet Stacy Hedrick, MA, LPC, NCC
As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri and Kansas, I use a variety of therapeutic modalities to respectfully connect with children, adolescents and young adults based on the needs of each individual. I collaborate closely with parents when working with children and teens because an individual’s daily environment is vital to healing. With over 15 years of experience, the bulk of my career has focused on working with those experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, self-harming and behavioral issues. I am also adept at dealing with stress, life transitions, conflict resolution and coping.
Kids and teens struggle and unfortunately they are not always the best communicators. They also have more on their plates these days than ever before. My passion is helping support them and gently guide them while they navigate their world. Some stress and anxiety is expected but when it interferes with your family, it can decrease hope and remove the joy and peace that we all want in our homes.
The treatment modalities I mainly use include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Motivational Interviewing, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Neurofeedback, Narrative Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
I pursued additional training because I consider it a necessity to provide the best treatment available. While becoming trained in EMDR, my interest in learning more about the physiological effects of trauma on the brain heightened. Thus began my exploration of the benefits of Neurofeedback and its non-invasive, self-healing power to balance dysregulation in the brain. I enjoy the opportunity to provide a variety of cutting-edge techniques while supporting my clients in reaching their goals.
